Alfredo Ronchi

Alfredo is a professor at the Faculties of Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design of the Politecnico di Milano. He is the General Secretary of the European Commission-MEDICI Framework and the Secretary of the European Working Group on “EU Directives and Cultural Heritageâ€. Alfredo has a key role with OCCAM NGO, a group fighting against world poverty and promoting the global use of information technology.
Alfredo is a renowned expert in new media. He is the President of eContent Award Italy, the member of the World Summit Jury, and the programme Chair of the Cultural Track of the IX Intl. World Wide Web Conference. He has extensive experience of working on international projects in cooperation with the World Bank, the Council of Europe and the European Commission.
