Mark Sage

Mark Sage is the founder and CEO of Sagey11 Ltd., a strategic and operational consulting firm specializing in building lasting partnerships, particularly for technology startups and scale-ups. With a background in telecoms, he has led and collaborated with various alliances and associations. His
expertise spans mobile, AR, VR, and IoT, reflecting his strong interest in emerging technologies.

Mark is currently the Executive Director of the Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance (AREA). The AREA the only global, membership-funded non-profit alliance dedicated to helping accelerate the adoption of Enterprise Augmented Reality (AR) by supporting the growth of a comprehensive ecosystem.
With a strong focus on delivering value and ROI for its members, his goal is to build a robust and active AR ecosystem within the enterprise. He is passionate about collaborating with companies deploying AR, technology providers, and research organizations to drive innovation and adoption.

He holds an MBA and brings extensive experience as a board member of an Australian-based AI startup.

He mentors scale-up CEOs in India, Peru, and Kenya and serves on multiple advisory boards spanning startups, scale-ups, universities, incubators, and venture capital firms. His clients include MIT Horizons, the UK government, and the Royal Academy of Engineering amongst others.

His first coauthored book, “Industrial Metaverse Building Blocks” will be published shortly (Q1 2025).
