Andrzej Kaczmarczyk

Prof. Dr. Andrzej Kaczmarczyk received his diploma in engineering as well as MSc and Doctor’s degrees from the Warsaw University of Technology. He researched industrial automation and robotics in Poland during 20 years and progressed to an academic career as a faculty member both in Poland and abroad. In the 1990s, he co-organised and managed one the firsts computer alphabetisation centres in Poland at the Institute of Mathematical Machines, with which he currently is.
A prolific writer of technical articles and conference papers in different languages, his current interests concentrate on e-training with the use of computer simulation and games, and he participates in FP7 projects with this subject matter. His interests encompass also political systems engineering. He is the author of the book 'Cyberdemocracy: Change of Democratic Paradigm in the 21st century', he has collaborated with the Initiative & Referendum Institute Europe and with the CyberVote European Project. He is a Life Member of the IEEE.
